Following the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' loss against the Dallas Cowboys, the team fired Byron Leftwich. The Bucs offense suffered all season, clearly ready to move on and implement some coaching changes.
As reported by Rick Stroud, the team is looking to make some major changes, and Leftwich's firing isn't a completely isolated event. He wasn't the only coach let go, and is probably the team's attempt to play a better 2023 season.
Former player and analyst Ryan Clark expressed his surprise over the decision on Twitter.

"Ain’t no way Tampa!! Say what?" he wrote.
One fan replied with a cryptic comment about Byron Leftwich, mentioning that people might speak up as they fired a 'minority' coach:
"Haha. 'Oh no, they fired a minority coach. That’s against the rules'….. He. Sucks," the fan wrote.
Clark's reply dismissed the user's claim. With the team firing multiple coaches, it might only be focused on the team's development.
"They fired 8 coaches.. who cares what color?" Clark wrote.
Other fans agreed, wondering why they would comment on something that did not pertain to the problem. Some also added that irrespective of their skin color, one should get the job they are better at.
Can Byron Leftwich's firing save the Bucs next season?
Even if the team fired Byron Leftwich and other coaches in the hope of rebuilding their offense to play better, one cannot overlook Tom Brady's forgettable performance.
The offense struggled the entire season, resulting in a 8-9 record.
As per Stroud, the team has also fired their receivers coach Kevin Garver.
"The Bucs have also fired receivers coach Kevin Garver," Stroud wrote. "Quarterbacks coach Clyde Christensen has decided to retire after 43 years in coaching".
Shannon Sharpe even commented on the Bucs' decision, holding Tom Brady accountable for the end result:
"Wow. A season to forget, 8-10, 53 QBR. Six multi touch down game. The fewest since his rookie season. 31 incompletion in a wildcard and a playoff, the most of career. So [Brady] looked like he had looked all year long. Bad."
Doubts about Brady's future with the Bucs have swirled around for months. Considering his game and the team's recent call, Brady could look to play his last few seasons with another team.
