Following a controversial situation in the Sunday duel against the Arizona Cardinals, the San Francisco 49ers were fined by the NFL on Saturday. So what exactly happened for the 49ers to be fined?

Footage shows cornerback Charvarius Ward and McBride entangled on the sidelines and even throwing punches at one another before Greenlaw shows up and shoves McBride. Ward was also fined for a facemask in this sequence to close out a confusing situation.

San Francisco 49ers returned to the win column against Seahawks
After a disappointing loss to the Arizona Cardinals, the San Francisco 49ers traveled to Seattle to face off against the Seahawks on Thursday at Lumen Field. The 49ers were surrounded by doubts after their latest outing, but they responded in a big way. Besides defeating their division rivals 36-24, they leveled their record at three wins and three losses and now share the top of the division with the same team.
Brock Purdy went off with 18 passes completed for 255 yards, three touchdowns and a 129.5 rating. Deebo Samuel reached the end zone one while George Kittle made it there twice. They recorded two interceptions against Geno Smith. Renardo Green returned the ball 20 yards, and Malik Mustapha stopped Seattle's offense with his intervention.
San Francisco had a rocky start to the 2024 NFL season. They were considered favorites to come out of the NFC ahead of the campaign, but the development of the campaign has been way more complex than expected.
They will face a series of difficult opponents in the next six weeks. If they can survive that stretch, this team will be strong enough to go for the Lombardi.
