Amari Rodgers was selected with the 85th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. The receiver played for Clemson prior to being drafted into the NFL.
He was cut by the Green Bay Packers after their win against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. Rodgers fumbled another punt return for the Packers and the franchise decided to part ways with him.
Rodgers didn't get a decent chance with the Packers' offensive unit and was designated as a punt returner. In the two seasons that he played for the Packers, he had 8 catches for 95 yards, along with 40 punt returns for 305 yards.

The Green Bay Packers not only parted ways with Amari Rodgers but they also released running-back Kylin Hill. Hill was drafted with the 256th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Amari Rodgers was released after he fumbled the ball with Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys tied at 14-14. It was his seventh career fumble or miscue and fifth this season; two of them resulted in opposing touchdowns.
Amari Rodgers' college career with Clemson:
Amari Rodgers played for a great program in Clemson during his college days. He played alongside now-Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence for the majority of his college career. In four years with Clemson, Rodgers had 181 receptions for 2,144 yards and 15 receiving touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown to his name in 2019.
Unfortunately, the former Clemson wideout wasn't able to transition his game to the NFL and was placed on punt-returning duties. He will hope to get another opportunity with a different team and showcase his talent on the biggest stage.
Teams will look to sign Amari Rodgers
Rodgers will be the subject of interest for multiple teams around the league. We might see him make his return to the field this season itself. Several wide receiver-needy teams will take a look at the former Clemson Tigers product.
Playing alongside Aaron Rodgers could be tough, but Rodgers must have learned a lot during his time in Green Bay. Hopefully, he will be able to realize his potential at his next destination in the league.
The Packers still have many weapons in their offense. They move on from Rodgers and look to their young receivers to elevate their game in the near future. After cutting two players this week, Green Bay are showing no mercy going forward.
