Week 11 of the 2022 NFL season began with some unusual events such as the New England Patriots vs. New York Jets game getting delayed.
The game, which is being held at the Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts, was set to kick off at 1:00 PM ET. Due to 'technical difficulties', the game was delayed for 10 minutes and kicked off at 1:10 PM ET.
According to CBS News, Foxboro Police told WBZ-TV that some trees came down on power lines in town and that they were dealing with scattered power outages.
This is the second of two divisional matchups between the two teams. New England took their first game on 30 October, in a close 22-17 victory.

A win is crucial for both the Patriots and Jets as they play in the most competitive division
Entering week 11 of the NFL season, the AFC East is the most competitive division in the conference. The AFC East is the only division where every single team has a winning record.
The Miami Dolphins are in first place at 7-3. The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills share a 6-3 record with the Jets owning the tiebreaker, and the New England Patriots are in last place at 5-4.
The game is currently in the second quarter and is tied 3-3. In a very competitive winning division, it's crucial for both teams to pick up a victory today, but only one can.
One wonders what the delay in start of the game would have done to the players. Hopefully, they wouldn't have had any difficulty in regaining their focus for the game.
