Both teams were eager to start the second half strong, but less than two minutes in, they were forced to stand idle on the sidelines as the game had to be paused due to a scary moment involving a member of the chain gang.

The elderly operator was backpedaling as players rushed towards their side of the field. However, they tripped over the 20-yard marker and smashed their head on the floor. Medics rushed to the scene to help them and after a lengthy evaluation, they were carted off the scene.

Fortunately, the operator was conscious and did not look severely injured. It was the second terrifying incident involving a member of the chain gang on Sunday.

Chain operator faced life-threatening situation during Raiders vs. Ravens

Late in the second quarter of the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raiders at the M&T Bank Stadium, a member of the chain gang collapsed on the field, causing a stoppage.

The Ravens medical staff rushed to the scene to attend to the operator. They reportedly administered CPR before loading them on a stretcher and carting them off the field. Players and coaches took a knee to pray for their well-being as the medical team was hard at work trying to save the operator's life.

Fortunately, there was good news. Soon after the incident, the Ravens released a statement on social media, that read:

"A member of the chain gang crew collapsed. He was immediately attended to by medical personnel. Upon leaving the field, he was alert and responsive. He's being taken to a local hospital."

Neither the league nor the Ravens have provided any further updates about the health condition of the chain gang crew member who collapsed on the floor.
