Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly isn't sure if her husband will continue to play football after the Los Angeles Rams lost in the divisional round to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Stafford had been reportedly mulling his future for the past couple of years, and after the Rams lost, Kelly wasn't sure if that was the last time she saw her husband play the game.
"Aren't enough words to express how proud I am. I joke about us being old and tired but honestly I could never get tired of watching you out there or watching our girls cheer for their daddy. I'm wondering if this is the end or not... guess we will find out," Kelly Stafford wrote on Instagram.

If this is the end of Matthew Stafford's career, the quarterback is a future Hall of Famer and goes down as an all-time great.
Stafford still has two years left on the four-year, $160 million extension he signed in 2022. However, just $4 million of that is guaranteed in 2025, leaving room for an amicable parting of ways if the Super Bowl winning-QB decides to ride off into the LA sunset.
Stafford was selected first overall in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions. He played in Detroit from 2009 until 2020 when he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams and helped the team win the Super Bowl in his first season with the team.
Stafford has played in 16 NFL seasons.
Matthew Stafford will take time to think of playing future
Matthew Stafford was asked about his future in the NFL after the game, and the Rams quarterback said he will take his time to decide his future.
"I'll talk about my present," Stafford said on Sunday after the game, via NFL.com. "Obviously, proud to be associated with this group, coaching staff, front office, group of players, training staff, equipment guys and everybody. It was a hell of an effort all year to get to this point.
"Anytime, you play like this and get into the playoffs and get a win to keep it moving, anytime you come up short it's even tougher. That's difficult but proud to be associated with this group."
He continued:
"As far as my future goes, I mean it's 30 minutes after our last game, so I'll take some time to think about it. I feel like I was playing some really good ball."
Stafford has two years left on his deal but there is an opt-out on his deal this offseason.
