As soon as the NFL's legal tampering period began, Jimmy Garoppolo was reportedly garnering interest from two teams.

The two teams linked to Garoppolo were the Houston Texans and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sealing a move to the Raiders, the former Niner became among the first of many expected to fall as part of the QB carrousel.

Compare that to the contracts of Geno Smith (three-years $75 million) Derek Carr (four-years $150 million) and Daniel Jones (4-years $160 million) it isn't that much. Fans on Twitter, however, think otherwise.

The Las Vegas Raiders currrenly hold the number seven overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft. They're in a decent position right now to select a quarterback in this year's deep class.

Even if they sign Jimmy Garoppolo, or a veteran free agent, they will likely select a quarterback with their first-round pick. They could even trade up in the draft to acquire a quarterback as they will likely fall off the board very quickly.

The team will have many options to choose from in finding their replacement for Derek Carr. Carr was the leader under center for the last nine seasons before being released by the team this offseason.

He'll be with the New Orleans Saints in 2023. The Raiders, however, are still figuring out who their quarterback will be this season.
