One fan compared Levis to ex-Oakland Raiders bust, JaMarcus Russel, a 2007 No.1 overall pick from LSU who struggled in the NFL.
"Will Levis the worst Qb since Jamarcus Russell," the fan wrote.
Another fan commented, "Will Levis is not an NFL starting quarterback. I said it on draft day two years ago. Anyone who watched him at Kentucky knew this. Somehow the Titans didn’t."
Meanwhile, a third fan took a jibe and noted, "All I want for Christmas is Will Levis to never wear a Titans uniform again."
It was a tough afternoon for Levis, who was drafted by the Titans last year after he played for Penn State (2018–2020) and Kentucky (2021–2022).
Initially, he was projected as a first-round pick. However, he was unexpectedly dropped to the second day, where his current team selected him as the 33rd overall.
Will Levis’s troubles started early in the second quarter
The Titans QB's first interception came courtesy of Cam Taylor-Britt, who returned it 28 yards. It led to the Bengals’s first lead of the game. Next, Mike Hilton picked off another errant pass, allowing the Bengals to extend their lead.
Will Levis's third interception of the afternoon came in the third quarter when Geno Stone intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown. Once more, this led the Bengals to a 31-14 lead. After this nightmarish play, Titans head coach Brian Callahan pulled him from the game.
To make matters worse, Levis was also strip-sacked in the first half. It put the Titans’ offense in even deeper jeopardy.
Levis's performance against the Bengals ended with just 89 yards on 8-of-12 passing, three interceptions, and a fumble as backup Mason Rudolph filled his shoes.
In just 11 games this NFL season, Levis has thrown 12 interceptions. Hopefully, he will look to rebound after such a rough start to see himself as the Titans’s starting quarterback in the future.
