XFL Viewership Numbers: How many fans watched XFL Games in Week 1?

The XFL's springtime football season has begun. The XFL debuted "Part 2" last weekend after taking time away to become economically sustainable and formidable. A ten-week programme that includes eight teams, a semifinal stage, and a championship game will conclude on May 13. Fans of the sport will find a lot more action, considering that there won't be any NFL action for months.

The eight cities that are home to XFL teams will host the league's games. Preliminary Saturday crowd numbers indicate that there's room for growth. As all the games took place in Birmingham in 2022, the USFL faced a higher level of difficulty than the XFL is projected to face this year.

The games over the weekend were mostly enjoyable, and the spectators contributed to that. At least 12,000 people attended each of the four contests, with 12,047 attending the Arlington Renegades' home debut game against the Vegas Vipers.

That represented a decrease of over 30% from the over 17,000 spectators who came to watch the same team's debut game at the same venue in 2020. A total of 12,784 fans attended the second Saturday encounter between the Houston Roughnecks and the Orlando Guardians.

The Alamodome, which can hold up to 64,000 people, is already an NFL-caliber venue for the San Antonio Brahmas.

A total of 24,245 people watched the team's first game in the XFL. San Antonio has been without a club since the Commanders of the AAF dissolved in 2019, and that 24,000 figure is lower than the 28,000 average attendance the AAF attracted at the time.

The 12,000 spectators in Arlington and Houston endured a chilly Saturday to see minor league football, so we can expect the numbers to improve going forward. Even 12,000 individuals, much alone 24,000, may produce a hellish ambiance. Energy filled the Alamodome Stadium from all sides of the field.

Where can you watch XFL games?

Fortunately, several options are available to live stream XFL games, thanks to the upswing of 'cord-cutting' or the migration of TV fans to online platforms. With an existing cable package, you can enjoy the games on the network's mobile site or app.

If you don't have cable, you will have to choose a streaming service that offers the channel your team's game is on. There's one positive for the XFL: ESPN and ESPN Plus will broadcast several games this season. These are some of the top possibilities:
