Tom Brady threw for just one touchdown on Sunday afternoon in a 35-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. On Monday, the quarterback's performace was the topic of conversation among all of the morning shows. FOX Sports' "Undisputed" with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe was one of those shows that discussed the Bucs' woes. While Sharpe and Bayless frequently disagree, Monday's conversation was particularly contentious.
Sharpe continued to state that he believes that the quarterback isn't playing as well as he used to and isn't the same quarterback that he once was. Bayless kept up with his narrative that the quarterback wasn't responsible for all of the team's issues. As the two continued their back-and-forth banter about Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playcalling, Bayless took a personal shot at Sharpe.
Bayless said that Sharpe was jealous of the quarterback because he was still playing at 45 years old when Sharpe had to retire at 35 years old. Sharpe did not take that lightly. He immediately struck back at Bayless, saying that he shouldn't have made it personal and that he wasn't jealous of the quarterback and has no reason to be. Sharpe stated that he's already a Hall of Famer.

"Skip, I did what I did. You make it seem like I am a bum. I’m in the effing Hall of Fame. I got three Super Bowls. You're willing to take a personal shot at me to say this man is better than me because I say he's playing bad… You will disrespect me to support him?"
This was, by far, one of the most heated debates between the two as Skip Bayless refused to budge on his feelings about the seven-time Super Bowl winner.
Michael Irvin says Brock Purdy has "Tom Brady vibes"
Did Tom Brady get defeated by his future self? According to Hall of Fame wide receiver Michael Irvin, Purdy gave him that feeling when he took the field last week after starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo broke his foot. Irvin said that he was interested to see how Purdy would handle himself against the veteran quarterback and said that he was impressed by how great he was.
"When I first saw him, I thought he had Tom Brady vibes. I don't know, he just had that thing about him when you watch him. So I wanted to see how he performed against Tom Brady and it was great," Michael Irvin said.
While Purdy is still dubbed "Mr. Irrelevant" because he was the last player drafted in the 2022 NFL Draft, Brady too was left until the sixth-round of the draft before he was selected by the New England Patriots. While it's too soon to say how Purdy's career will shape out, late-round quarterback steals have been known to be successful in the past.
