It's clear that while Eagles fans have a lot of respect and love for Zach Ertz, they're fully focused on supporting their team.

That said, Ertz is now an important player on the Commanders' offense. He made some big plays in Week 17 against the Atlanta Falcons, with six catches, 72 yards, and two touchdowns. It also included the game-winning score in overtime that helped the team make it into the playoffs.

Zach Ertz became one of the NFL’s most reliable tight ends in the Philadelphia Eagles

When Zach Ertz joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2013, people had high hopes for him. As a second-round draft pick, he was ready to be part of a team led by Coach Chip Kelly.

Ertz had a challenging start to his career. He had to work hard to earn his spot in the lineup behind experienced players. But by mid-season, he scored his first touchdown in a game against the Oakland Raiders. That year, he finished with 36 catches and four touchdowns.

In his second year, Zach Ertz stepped up even more. He became a key player in the Eagles’ offense. In Week 16, he set a personal best with 15 catches in one game. He ended the season with 702 yards and three touchdowns.

As the seasons went by, Ertz grew into one of the best tight ends in the league. He worked hard to compete with veterans like Brent Celek and became a favorite of quarterbacks Nick Foles and Carson Wentz.

In 2017, he had a huge moment in the Super Bowl. Ertz caught an important touchdown that helped the Eagles win their first-ever championship.

By the time Zach Ertz left the Eagles for the Arizona Cardinals in 2021, he had made a lasting impact on the team.
