The Cardinals finished one game below .500 during a season in which they struggled during the second half. They are in desperate need of a pass rusher and a defensive lineman despite attempting to address the position in two of the past four drafts. Another receiver and some offensive line help are also areas I expect the Cardinals to look at in the offseason.
NFC West Mock Draft
Mock Draft: Arizona Cardinals
Round 1: Walter Nolen/DL/Mississippi - A terrific scheme fit, Nolen is a playmaker with great upside. He’s a natural fit for the team’s scheme and would improve the pass rush on the interior defensive line.

Round 2: JT Tuimoloau/Edge/Ohio State - Arizona loves selecting Buckeyes, and if Tuimoloau can finally meet expectations and consistently play at a high level, this pick will be a steal.
Round 3: Tai Felton/WR/Maryland - Felton brings much needed speed and playmaking ability.
Round 4: Jack Nelson/T/Wisconsin
Round 5: Jeffrey Bassa/LB/Oregon
Mock Draft: Los Angeles Rams
The Rams did a phenomenal job making their way through the playoffs, much of it thanks to the amazing draft they had one year ago. Offensive linemen and a young quarterback will be the order of the day in the offseason.
Round 1: Josh Simmons/T/Ohio State - Had Simmons not sustained a season-ending injury so early in 2024 and continued to play at the level he was, he well could’ve been the first tackle selected in the draft.
Round 3: Riley Leonard/QB/Notre Dame
Round 4: Tate Ratledge/G/Georgia
Mock Draft: San Francisco 49ers
One year after winning the NFC title and playing in the Super Bowl, the Niners come off a disappointing season and own the 11th pick of the draft. They need a pass rusher to pair with Nick Bosa. Young offensive linemen and depth at cornerback are additional areas that must be addressed.
Round 1: Mykel Williams/Edge/Georgia - Another top edge rusher to pair with Nick Bosa, Williams has tremendous upside and is an excellent scheme fit.
Round 2: Trey Amos/CB/Mississippi - Some have a first-round grade on Amos, but I’m holding off on that at this point. He’s talented and can play on the outside or at nickel.
Round 3: Armand Membou/OL/Missouri
Round 4: Jaydon Blue/RB/Texas
Mock Draft: Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks made a valiant run at the playoffs, yet in the end they were left on the outside looking in. The team has a lot of talent on defense, but it must address the offensive line and consider a young quarterback in the early rounds.
Round 1: Jalen Milroe/QB/Alabama - The Seahawks are an organization that knows how to develop and get the most from quarterbacks. You can make the argument that Milroe has more upside than any quarterback in this draft. The question is, how early will Milroe be selected?
Round 2: Jonah Savaiinaea/T/Arizona
Round 3: Charles Grant/OL/William & Mary
