As the NFL regular season drew to a close on Sunday, 14 teams secured their playoff positions and are looking for a run to the Super Bowl. There was only one playoff spot available in the NFC entering Week 18 of the regular season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed that position after defeating the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, knocking the Atlanta Falcons out of playoff contention and ensuring their own fifth consecutive postseason appearance.
Also, with the Green Bay Packers losing to the Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders defeating the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, the Commanders finished as the sixth seed and the Packers as the seventh.
