Odell Beckham Jr's situation has plenty of fans feeling a sense of deja vu. Near the midway point of both 2021 and 2022, Beckham has been courting NFL teams to see which one deserves his addition. However, unlike in 2021, the wide receiver has been available for the entirety of the 2022 season, and fans are getting restless.

Speaking on the Rich Eisen Show, NFL analyst Albert Breer explained why the wide receiver hasn't settled on an option yet. Here's how he put it:

"It seems like Beckham's approach here is whatever's best for him. He's going to get to that point by being able to collect the most information and by being a free agent right now."

According to Breer, waiting is a strategic move that will allow a clear front-runner to emerge:

"Waiting allows him to collect that information. So instead of making a leap of faith in a team that is a real contender [on] November 1st [and] is still going to be in that position a couple of months from now... If you wait until you're closer to being at full health and ready to go, [you will] have a clearer picture of where the Rams, Packers, Bills, Bucs, and Chiefs are."

Assuming Odell Beckham Jr. doesn't return to the Los Angeles Rams or Cleveland Browns, the wide receiver will be joining his third team in two seasons. At the start of 2021, he was a member of the Cleveland Browns in what would be Baker Mayfield's final season with the team.

After getting frustrated with a lack of targets, he decided to claw his way out of the organization by asking for a release. The team obliged around the middle of the season, leaving him with plenty of options to choose from. He landed with the Los Angeles Rams and helped boost the team to the Super Bowl. In the big game, the wide receiver tore his ACL and has been in recovery ever since.
