The 2022 NFL Draft was held from the 28th of April 2022 till the 30th of April 2022. The 2022 NFL Draft class featured the Jacksonville Jaguars with their consecutive number-one overall pick. This was the 87th edition of the NFL Draft and is at times referred to as the Brock Purdy Draft as he has become the best Mr. Irrelevant in the history of the NFL.
The NFL Draft as a custom for many years takes place on the last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in April. The first round is the only round to transpire on Thursday. Friday is reserved for rounds two and three while all remaining rounds are on Saturday. Players can be eligible for the NFL Draft if he is either a redshirt sophomore, junior, or senior. Once a player declares for the draft, he is no longer permitted to go back to college football.
The first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft was defensive end Travon Walker. He was followed by two more defenders in the top 3, another defensive end in Aidan Hutchinson, and cornerback Derek Stingley Jr.
