Could Justin Jefferson be creating the next fashion craze? Just before kickoff for the match between the Minnesota Vikings and Washington Commanders, Jefferson made a pre-game fashion statement that had everyone talking.

The wide receiver was seen doing his pre-game route runs and warm-ups while wearing what can only be described as 'space goggles'.

The silver goggles didn't wrap around the ear as most traditional glasses do, but instead went up on his head, giving it a very space-like vibe. This unusual look had fans on Twitter comparing his eyewear to a very familiar movie of their childhood: Spy Kids.

Others compared Jefferson's goggles to wrestlers and other fictional television and movie characters.

Although there doesn't appear to be an exact reason as to why the wide receiver was wearing those unique silver goggles, it didn't hinder his production.

He scored a touchdown from a pass by quarterback Kirk Cousins within the first few minutes of the game. It gave the Minnesota Vikings an early 7-0 lead over the Washington Commanders.

However, it's safe to say that NFL fans still won't stop talking about Justin Jefferson's pre-game look anytime soon. Social media will stay abuzz with its thoughts on the matter as well.

Justin Jefferson breaks passing touchdown drought

Justin Jefferson is one of the standout young wide receivers in the National Football League. He and the Minnesota Vikings entered Week 9 with a 6-1 record and the NFC North lead.

Though the 23-year-old wide receiver had solid production on the field, he hasn't caught a touchdown pass since Week 1. In the season opener against the Green Bay Packers, he had two touchdown passes and oddly hasn't had one since.

He did have a rushing touchdown in Week 4 against the New Orleans Saints but no passes from Cousins.

That was until the latest match. Not only did he break out an interesting choice of pre-game eyewear, but also finally caught another touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins. With nine minutes remaining in the first quarter, Cousins found his wide receiver in the end zone to give their team an early lead.

Despite a touchdown drought, he has had 52 catches for 752 receiving yards through seven games this season.

In his sophomore season in 2021, he had a career-high 10 touchdowns and 1,616 receiving yards. In his rookie season in 2020, he had seven touchdowns and 1,400 receiving yards.
