Former Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer has stated who he'd pick between Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow. The former Pro Bowl player is siding with his former team's quarterback in the ever-raging debate.
Since Mahomes is only 1-3 against Burrow, there has been a debate as to which one is better. The debate was temporarily halted after Mahomes defeated Burrow in the AFC Championship Game and then won his second Super Bowl.
However, Palmer is reiginiting the debate with his comments.

Carson Palmer said on his brother's podcast:
"I think Joe is the best quarterback in the league. I know Patrick [Mahomes] is phenomenal, but I just think Joe’s more consistent. He’s more consistent. He’s more accountable to run the system and the play that’s called and not feel like, 'Well, he didn’t win last time and get open for me, so I’m gonna do it with my feet,' and then before you know it, you’re sacked for a four-yard loss because you tried to make two or three guys miss.
"Joe is just... talk about not having a weakness. Mentally strong, physically tough, accurate, can throw it far enough, fast enough, gets the ball out quick, and then he can actually do a lot with his legs."
NFL fans are shocked at the take and the reasoning behind this line of thinking.
Many NFL fans are shocked at Palmer's seemingly poor take. Even his reasoning doesn't sit well. Most fans would agree that Mahomes and Burrow are two of the top three quarterbacks in football, but there's a clear order between them.
Is Joe Burrow better than Patrick Mahomes?
Joe Burrow is a phenomenal quarterback, but he's not Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is a two-time MVP, two-time Super Bowl champion and a two-time All-Pro.
Burrow is a one-time Pro Bowler. The head-to-head record is completely pointless because wins are a team stat. Burrow and Mahomes didn't clear everyone out and go one-on-one in those games. The Bengals defeated the Chiefs three times, as a team.
Additionally, Mahomes hasn't had the benefit of having two elite wide receivers to throw to. Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce made an elite duo akin to Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase, but last season it was Kelce and no one else and Mahomes still won MVP.
