The Carolina Panthers have made a quarterback change yet again. Baker Mayfield will start against the Baltimore Ravens next week after the Panthers' victory over Atlanta on Thursday night.
Walker is reportedly dealing with a high ankle sprain. This is the same injury that kept Mayfield out for a time this season and landed last year's starter Sam Darnold on injured reserve to start the campaign.
It's unclear how long Walker, who went 2-3 as a starter, will be out. In the meantime, the former Cleveland Browns quarterback gets to start against his old rival.
The Panthers were massive underdogs before this injury news and NFL fans aren't sure that should change at all. They're not convinced Mayfield is a good quarterback or that he'll do anything of note in this league, and that includes Sunday's start. Here are some of the comments:

Baker Mayfield has the unenviable task of facing the AFC North leader coming off their bye week, but at least he will have more than a full week of preparation since Carolina last played on Thursday.
Is Baker Mayfield a better quarterback than P.J. Walker?
The Panthers have struggled at quarterback so much this season that it's a wonder they've even won three games.
Darnold was replaced by Baker Mayfield, who played poorly and then suffered an injury. As a result, interim head coach Steve Wilks elected to start Walker (their fourth-choice quarterback in camp) a lot more than anyone could have predicted.
Walker played better than many would have expected. The Panthers won two games with him at the helm, whereas they only won one with Mayfield under center. This was something of a surprise to just about everyone.
As for who's better, it's anybody's guess. Baker Mayfield showed flashes and even played well coming off the bench in Carolina's blowout loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. However, he also looked incapable of making an impact on the field far too often this season.
Walker, to his credit, played outstandingly against Tampa Bay and during the second half of their overtime loss to Atlanta a few weeks ago. Carolina's win over the Atlanta Falcons last week was largely due to a dominant run game.
The former Cleveland Browns star was expected to be the starter and take the Panthers to the playoffs, or at least provide some offensive stability. One thing is for certain: Baker Mayfield has been far more disappointing than Walker this season.
