Week 18 is upon us, the final week of Fantasy Football, and with competition coming to a close, kickers could well deliver you a virtual championship.
Brett Maher and Daniel Carlson head onto the final week of the 2022 season as the two most prolific fantasy kickers.
Carlson’s performances have been the most consistent amongst the kicking fraternity this year, although Maher has been sensational in the last few weeks of the campaign.
Teams across the league will look to rest their starters if they’ve already qualified for the playoffs, and this is something players need to be aware of when picking their Week 18 line-up.

At this point, it is a little unclear as to whether or not the Buffalo Bills will fulfill their Week 18 matchup as concerns remain over the critical nature of Damar Hamlin’s condition.
The Bills are due to play the New England Patriots on Sunday, but before selecting Tyler Bass, you should be aware that this game could be postponed, despite no confirmation as of yet.
Who are the best available Fantasy Football kickers in Week 18?
#1 Brett Maher – Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Commanders
Brett Maher leads the NFL kickers with 161 fantasy points through Week 17.
He has taken advantage of every opportunity the Cowboys' offense has given him, and he will do so yet again against the Commanders.
Maher has made 29 of his 32 field goal attempts in 2022 and has missed just two extra-point attempts.
He is the NFL’s premium kicker and will score fantasy points in Week 18.
#2 Daniel Carlson – Las Vegas Raiders vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Daniel Carlson is a player who will be ready for the 2022 NFL season to come to an end.
Whilst his own individual performances have been consistently excellent, he will feel as though his team haven’t given him the number of opportunities they should have.
The Raiders’ disjointed offense led to a real dry spell for Carlson midway through the season where he just didn’t get many kick attempts.
When he has been given a chance, Carlson has been brilliant. He hasn’t missed a single field goal attempt since December 4 against the Chargers.
The Week 18 clash against the Chiefs doesn’t promise much for the Raiders, and selecting Carlson may not provide you with many fantasy football points.
#3 Justin Tucker – Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
Justin Tucker will be remiss that he didn’t end the 2022 season as the most productive kicker in fantasy football.
He started the season strongly and used his experience to consistently make kicks, but he has ended the season with a poor streak of form.
After missing two field goals against the Cleveland Browns on December 17, and one against the Atlanta Falcons on December 24, Tucker did bounce back in Week 17.
Tucker was flawless against the Pittsburgh Steelers, making 2 of 2 field goal attempts. He will hope to carry this form into the final regular season matchup of the campaign.
#4 Jason Myers – Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams
Jason Myers has been a late-season riser on this list, but his contributions to the Seattle Seahawks’ season have been significant.
As Geno Smith’s offensive production has slowed, so has Myers’. He was given just one single field goal attempt in games against the Panthers and Chiefs.
This will be a concern ahead of the divisional rivalry matchup against the Rams.
Los Angeles have had an awful season as defending champions, but Aaron Donald is still there. He can single-handedly stop the Seattle offense and ensure that Myers gets hardly any chances to score fantasy points.
#5 Tyler Bass – Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots
Tyler Bass is expected to play on Sunday as the New England Patriots visit the Buffalo Bills in Week 18.
Buoyed by the news that Damar Hamlin is now awake, the Bills are likely to fulfil their fixture on Sunday.
Bass has been one of the better kickers through Week 17, scoring 141 fantasy football points after playing in 16 games.
Of the top five kickers in the league, he does though hold the lowest average, with just 8.8 fantasy points per game.
A lot of this is down to a slow start to the season, with his best form coming after the trade deadline.
The Bills could rest players on Sunday, especially with it unclear just when their match with the Cincinnati Bengals will be replayed.
The Patriots have a brilliant defense, ranked first-overall in terms of fantasy football points, so it may not be the best time to select Tyler Bass as his opportunities could be limited.
