NFL playoffs: AFC Wild Card preview and schedule

The NFL playoffs are upon us. In the AFC playoffs, the Miami Dolphins earned their spot after a six-year drought, beating the New York Jets in the last minutes of the game. The New England Patriots lost to the Buffalo Bills, dropping out of the seventh seed and missing out on Wild Card weekend. The Kansas City Chiefs secured the top seed in the AFC and will have a bye in the first round of the playoffs.

12 teams will compete in the Wild Card round over three days, with two games on Saturday, three on Sunday, and a Monday night finale. Here are the AFC Wild Card weekend matchups:

Buffalo Bills (2) vs. Miami Dolphins (7) @ Highmark Stadium

NFL Regular Season - Miami Dolphins v Buffalo Bills

The Bills and Dolphins will face off on Sunday at 1 pm ET in Buffalo. The AFC East rivals have split their games this season. The Dolphins won 21-19 at home in Week 3 and the Bills secured a 32-29 victory in Buffalo in Week 15.

Cincinnati Bengals (3) vs. Baltimore Ravens (6) @ Paycor Stadium

The Bengals will host the Ravens on Sunday at 8:15 pm ET in a repeat of their Week 18 game. Both teams have won one game against each other this season, with Cincinnati coming out on top 27-16 on Sunday and the Ravens winning 19-17 in Week 5.

Jacksonville Jaguars (4) vs. Los Angeles Chargers (5) @ TIAA Bank Field

The Jaguars and Chargers will meet on Saturday at 8:15 pm ET in Jacksonville. Both teams have franchise QBs and defenses that can make big plays. Either of them could make an unexpected run to the Super Bowl. However, only one team will get a chance after this matchup.
