The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were on a bye last week but still moved one spot up the Power Rankings. The defending Super Bowl champions have put themselves in a great position to make another run at the title this year.

The Buccaneers will open the second half of their season with a favorable matchup against a weak Washington defense. Tom Brady should strengthen his case for NFL MVP in this game.

#3 - Los Angeles Rams (7-2)

Last week: #1

Next week: vs. San Francisco 49ers

The Los Angeles Rams are no longer in the top spot in the Power Rankings after suffering a loss to the Tennessee Titans in Sunday Night Football. Matthew Stafford had his worst game of the season so far.

The Rams will look to bounce back in Week 10 against the struggling 49ers in a divisional clash. They look strong for the back stretch and are still one of the most well-rounded teams in the NFL. Their defense will get a boost when Von Miller makes his debut.

#2 - Green Bay Packers (7-2)

Last week: #3

Next week: vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Green Bay Packers lost last week but still managed to climb one spot in the Power Rankings. The other five teams in the top six of the NFC Power Rankings lost as well. The Packers fell just short and were without their starting quarterback.

Jordan Love made the first start of his career, replacing Aaron Rodgers, who was inactive due to Covid. The Packers are hoping Rodgers will be able to return for their Week 10 game against the Seahawks.

#1 - Arizona Cardinals (8-1)

Last week: #4

Next week: vs. Carolina Panthers

The Arizona Cardinals have taken back over the top spot in the Power Rankings. They are the first team to reach eight wins in the 2021 NFL season and the only team with less than two losses. The Cardinals scored an impressive victory over the 49ers last week, despite being without many key contributors.

Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green were all inactive. Chase Edmonds was also knocked out early, so James Conner carried the majority of the load. The victory demonstrated their excellent depth and adaptability while proving they deserve to sit on top of the Power Rankings.
