The 2024 NFL roster cuts deadline is fast approaching. All 32 teams need to confirm their 53-man rosters by 4 p.m. ET on Aug. 27.

Ahead of the much-awaited roster cuts, here's a look at some impact players who might not make it to the final squad.

NFL roster cuts: Predicted 10 impact players who may hit free agency before 2024 regular season

#1. Kadarius Toney, WR

Toney is at risk of being cut by the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday. The Chiefs signed Marquise Brown and drafted Xavier Worthy this year to add more firepower to their wide receivers' department.

Furthermore, Toney was in the firing line for some poor plays last season, even though the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. It's like that Kansas City might part ways with the wideout before the roster cuts deadline.

#2. Zach Pascal, WR

Pascal signed for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2023 offseason but has struggled to make a lasting impact with the franchise. The wideout made 13 appearances for the team last season, posting just 19 yards on four receptions.

The Cardinals might cut Pascal since they have some younger and more explosive wideouts on their roster.

#3. Bailey Zappe, QB

Zappe is unlikely to make it to the 53-man roster for the New England Patriots. The quarterback is currently behind the likes of Jacob Brissett and Drake Maye in the pecking order.

Also, the Patriots might consider developing this year's draft pick Joe Milton as their third-choice signal-caller, leaving no space for Zappe.

#4. Dee Eskridge, WR

The Seahawks selected Eskridge in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. Despite being tipped as a top talent, the wideout has struggled to make an impact on the team in the past few years.

Eskridge made just four appearances last season, which was riddled with injury and a six-game personal conduct suspension. It would be interesting to see if the Seahawks will keep him in their 53-man squad for the upcoming season.

#5. Skyy Moore, WR

The Kansas City Chiefs selected Moore in the second round of the 2022 NFL draft. However, the wideout hasn't made the impact that the Chiefs might have expected.

Moore is behind the likes of Marquise Brown, Xavier Worthy Rashee Rice and Justin Watson in the pecking order. It will be interesting to see if Moore is still on the Chiefs roster for Week 1 of the 2024 season.

#6. Terrace Marshall Jr., WR

The Carolina Panthers selected Marshall in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft. The wideout had a bright start to his career in the big league but has fizzled out in recent years.

With Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen, Jonathan Mingo, Xavier Legette and David Moore expected to take up the space for the wideouts on the Panthers squad, it will be interesting to see whether Marshall will make the 53-man roster.

#7. Tanner Hudson, TE

Hudson was part of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers team that won the Super Bowl in 2021. But the tight end hasn't had much success since signing for the Cincinnati Bengals in December 2022.

Hudson is behind Mike Gesicki and Drew Sample in terms of selection, and the Bengals also drafted two tight ends this year, who are expected to be developed by coach Zac Taylor. This could mean that Hudson might be cut from the Bengals' 53-man roster.

#8. Jamin Davis, DE

The Washington Commanders selected Davis in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. He has amassed 269 tackles, seven sacks, seven pass deflections and two forced fumbles in his pro career thus far.

However, the Commanders have reportedly declined a fifth-year option with Davis this offseason, suggesting they might cut ties with the player before the regular season begins.

#9. Lewis Cine, S

The Minnesota Vikings selected Cine in the first round of the 2022 NFL draft. However, the player hasn't made a big impact on the team since then.

Cine has logged just 10 defensive snaps in two seasons with the Vikings, and it feels like he might not make it to the 53-man squad.

#10. David Bell, WR

The Cleveland Browns selected Bell in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft. The wideout has recorded 381 yards and three touchdowns on 38 receptions across two seasons.

However, Bell is currently behind the likes of Amari Cooper, Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman and Elijah Moore in the pecking order. It remains to be seen whether Bell will make the cut for the Bronws 53-man roster on Tuesday.
