Scenario #5: Dallas Cowboys trade Ezekiel Elliott to the Jacksonville Jaguars
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott recorded his worst NFL season since being drafted by the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas signed the running back to a huge deal in the 2020 off-season. Could we see Ezekiel Elliott on the move this off-season?
Many Dallas Cowboy fans feel that the best years of Ezekiel Elliott are behind him and that he is starting the slow decline in production. Dallas has a great back up running back in Tony Pollard and it would be easy to find a trade partner for Elliott. With the Cowboys most likely wanting a first round pick for their running back they could easily draft his replacement.

A lot of NFL fans would say that the running back position is an easy position to replace. If the Cowboys do end up putting Ezekiel Elliott on the trade block one team will be on the phone with a draft pick that would make the Cowboys consider the deal.
Jacksonville Jaguars offer Myles Jack, 25th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and two future picks for Elliott
With the Jacksonville Jaguars hiring Urban Meyer as their head coach. It would be likely that they would be the first team to call the Dallas Cowboys if Elliott were to become available. They also have young talent on the defensive side of the football that could help sweeten the deal for Elliott.
Jacksonville also owns the number one overall pick and number 25 pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. If the Jaguars offer Myles Jack, their 25th pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and two future picks like a first and second round pick. Jerry Jones would most likely move their running back to Jacksonville.
Moving Ezekiel Elliott would free up some cap space and receiving the 25th pick would give the Dallas Cowboys the option of selecting either Travis Etienne or Najee Harris. Urban Meyer has a great relationship with Ezekiel Elliott from their time together at Ohio State. It was almost like a father and son type relationship.
Elliott would give the Jaguars a solid running back. It would also be a huge upgrade for Jacksonville at the running back position. Urban Meyer wants to prove himself in the NFL and this trade would definitely put his name on the map for the 2021 NFL Season.
