NFL TE Rankings Week 18 feat. Brock Bowers, Jonnu Smith, Trey McBride and more

Week 18 of the 2024 NFL season will mark the final slate of games this year prior to the start of the playoffs. The tight end position has been an interesting one to watch as several players have emerged as elite weapons. The top five players here this year features two youngsters and a breakout star joining two veteran staples in Travis Kelce and George Kittle.

The clear pick for the best tight end this season is Brock Bowers, who is having an incredible rookie year with the Las Vegas Raiders. He leads all tight ends with 1,144 receiving yards and 108 receptions entering Week 18 to go aloing with his four touchdown catches.

He did all of this despite playing in one of the weakest offenses in the NFL and suffering through some of the worst overall quarterback play all season long.

Just behind the rookie sensation is Trey McBride, who has been the most consistent weapon for the Arizona Cardinals this year. He is also the only other tight end to have at least 100 receptions this year and one of only three players in this position to eclipse 1,000 yards.

McBride has now increased his numbers in every receiving statistic in each of his three seasons so far, solidifying himself among the best in the NFL.

Jonnu Smith has been one of the biggest breakout stars of the 2024 season in his first year with the Miami Dolphins. He has shined in their high-powered passing attack, while their usually reliable wide receivers have struggled this season.

His 79 receptions and 828 receiving yards are both the fourth-most of any tight end this year, while his seven touchdown catches rank third among the position.
