NFL rivals from the NFC top the list
#2 - Dallas Cowboys (28)
Dallas fans will endlessly boast about their team's NFL championships...five Super Bowl wins to be exact...but the modern endeavors of America's Team have left much to be desired. The Cowboys have surprisingly struggled to get past the NFC Divisional round, having come up bare since their last Lombardi Trophy hoist in 1996. As the winners of the NFC East, Dallas will have another chance to break that streak this year...or extend it in heartbreaking fashion: five of their last six NFL playoff losses (the last being a 2019 Divisional loss to the aforementioned Rams) have come by eight points or less.

#1 - Minnesota Vikings (30)
Say what you will about the Browns, Jets, and Lions: they often rip your heart out long before the playoffs. The same can't be said about the hapless Vikings, the only team on this list that doesn't even have the comfort of a Super Bowl victory. It's of little consolation, but the Vikings (who won't appear in the 2022 postseason) own the most championship appearances and division titles (as well as the best win percentage) without a Lombardi Trophy raise, as well as the best win percentage amongst vacant trophy cases. Minnesota has been to four Super Bowls, the last coming in 1977. Poor luck, namely in the form of missed field goals (Blair Walsh's during the 2018 NFC Wild Card is seen above) has followed the Vikings ever since.
