The 2024 NFL campaign is now in full swing after two rounds of games, and for many teams, Week 3 may prove to be crucial. Some top teams, like the Cincinnati Bengals and Baltimore Ravens, who have tasted defeat in each of their opening two games, will be even more motivated to win in Week 3 to turn their season around.
Week 3 of the NFL schedule will begin as normal on a Thursday night, with the New England Patriots taking on the New York Jets on the road on Thursday, September 19. The NFL action this week will then come to an end on September 23 with a Monday Night Football doubleheader, featuring the Jacksonville Jaguars taking on the Buffalo Bills on the road and the Bengals hosting the Washington Commanders.
Week 3's Sunday afternoon schedule will have 12 games distributed between CBS and Fox. Seven Sunday afternoon games will be broadcast by FOX, with CBS getting to air the remaining five.
Sunday Night Football in Week 3 will feature star QB Patrick Mahomes leading out his Kansas City Chiefs on the road against the Atlanta Falcons. The Chiefs will look to improve to 3-0 for the season in that game while Kirk Cousins and the Falcons will be looking to build on their impressive Week 2 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
