Following a week in which every team played, the NFL Week 9 schedule will feature additional bye weeks to reduce the number of participating teams.
There are just 15 games scheduled this week because the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Francisco 49ers are both on bye. As is customary, three of this week's games will be standalone prime-time contests on Thursday night, Sunday night and Monday night.
As a result, the Sunday afternoon main slate will have 12 games, with eight scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET and four scheduled to start at or after 4:05 p.m. ET.
This week's NFL action will begin on Thursday night when the Houston Texans travel to face the New York Jets. It will end on Monday night when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the unbeaten Kansas City Chiefs in an attempt to bounce back from their loss last week.

The Minnesota Vikings and Indianapolis Colts will face off on Sunday Night Football this week. Both teams are hoping to get back into the winning zone after suffering losses in Week 8.
