Nick Bosa is an American professional defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League as of 2024. From earning the title of NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2019 to becoming the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2022, he has cemented his place in the league. Additionally, he earned a spot on the 2019 PFWA All-Rookie Team and a first-team All-Pro honor in 2022. With three Pro Bowl selections, he is expanding and showcasing his magnificent potential through his performances.

Football is in the blood of Bosa’s family, as he was born to the former NFL defensive end, John Bosa. He grew up alongside his elder brother Joey Bosa, who plays for the Los Angeles Chargers at the linebacker position. Nick Bosa attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where he was a four-year starter. After high school, the five-star recruit committed to playing college football for Ohio State University. Following his collegiate career, he began his professional football journey with the San Francisco 49ers, who selected him in the 2019 NFL Draft. The three-time Pro Bowler led the league in the 2022 season with 18.5 sacks in 16 games.

After completing high school, Bosa attended Ohio State University and played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 2016 to 2018. During his freshman season in 2016, he recorded 29 tackles and five sacks in all 12 games.

As a sophomore, he started as a defensive end in seven games, recording 34 total tackles and 8.5sacks during the 2017 season. For his outstanding performance, he was honored as unanimous First-team All-Big Ten and clinched the title of Smith-Brown Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year.

Unfortunately, in 2018, he underwent a core muscle surgery, limiting his season to just three games. Eventually, Bosa opted out of his senior season and decided to enter the 2019 NFL Draft.
