Houston Texans wide receiver Nico Collins suffered an injury during the Houston Texans' Week 5 win over the Buffalo Bills. Collins left the game with an injury and did not return.
Before Collins left the game, he recorded a 67-yard touchdown catch to extend his NFL lead in receiving yards. After the game, quarterback C.J. Stroud heaped praise on Collins.
“I think he [Nico Collins] is the best receiver in football," quarterback C.J. Stroud said postgame, via SI. "When he gets out of the game, it definitely is tough on us. A lot of things are predicated towards him and planned for him. I definitely do think we still have a lot of other guys who step up too, so I thought they did a good job doing that."
However, Collins' status going forward is one to monitor.

Nico Collins injury update: What happened to Texans WR?
Collins suffered a hamstring injury that forced him to leave the game early in the second quarter.
The problem came during a 67-yard touchdown. He was seen limping to the sidelines and went into the blue medical tent before going to the locker room.
When will Nico Collins return?
Collins is considered day-to-day and could return to the lineup for the Texans Week 6 game against the New England Patriots.
Houston coach DeMeco Ryans called Collins' injury 'day-to-day.' His status in practice this week will be one to monitor for fantasy options.
If he can't play in Week 6, Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods, and John Metchie III should see more action for the Texans.
"I thought ‘Hutch’ [Xavier Hutchinson] played solid. Really you have to find a way to win. We did that today. Definitely hope Nico is okay and we can get him back as soon as possible, but I definitely know that we have a lot of depth in that room," Stroud said after the game about Collins injury.
This season, Collins has recorded 32 receptions for 567 yards and three touchdowns. He's been the Texans' No. 1 receiver this season and Houston fans hope he can play in Week 6.
The Texans go on the road to play the New England Patriots in Week 6 on Sunday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. ET.
