Noah Sewell NFL Draft Projection: How high could Oregon's LB go?

Noah Sewell, a three-year starting LB for Oregon, has been a pillar of the defensive unit in the squad. Sewell had a very productive college career, earning spots on numerous All-American and Conference squads. After Justin Flowe, he has the second-highest rating of any linebacker in school history.

Sewell played in 33 games over three productive years with the team, recording three forced fumbles, 215 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 20.5 tackles for loss. He led Oregon in tackles for two of his three campaigns. The 20-year-old came into the spotlight as a full freshman in 2020 and won the Coaches Pac-12 Freshman Defensive Player of the Year award.

The linebacker, who was born in American Samoa, is anticipated to be selected among the first 25 picks. He is exceptionally huge for the job, while exhibiting good sensitivity and foresight.

Sewell's top-end and burst speeds are ordinary, but his downhill finishing velocity is excellent. He has room for improvement, particularly in coverage, but generally has a strong base from which to grow.

Penei Sewell, a former first-round selection by the Detroit Lions, is Noah Sewell's older brother. Noah is the youngest of the four football-playing Sewell brothers. The Detroit Lions selected brother Penei, who played for Oregon as well, with the seventh overall pick in the 2021 draft.

The American Samoan-born Sewell brothers relocated to the United States in 2012 and settled in Utah. Before enrolling at the University of Oregon as a five-star recruit, Noah Sewell was awarded the 2019 Utah Valley Football Player of the Year. In 2020, he was recognized as the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.
