Rob Gronkowski is one of the best tight ends in NFL history and has always worked hard while on the football field. Yet, he also partied hard off the field as well, especially early on in his career. The former New England Patriots star chronicled one of his wild stories in his July 2015 book entitled "It's Good to be Gronk."
In an excerpt, the four-time All-Pro tells the story of a police officer showing up at one of his wild parties.
Gronkowski said:
"This one time, and for some reason, no one can remember, Gord switched his underwear with a girl and wore her thong to do the competition. Gord went first and finished, racing through the front door to win. He was super excited about winning, until he stood up and saw a police officer standing right there."

"Gord just stood there in the girl's thong and said, "Oh, uh . . . hi, Officer. Is there a problem?"
Gronkowski added:
"I don't know how the officer kept a straight face, but he did and said there had been a noise complaint. Gord asked if he could go in the front door to put his pants on, but since he had had one too many drinks, he grabbed the girl's jeans instead of his.
"He got the pants halfway up his legs until he realized they were hers and not his, and then fell over laughing."
Rob Gronkowski's best-selling book came out in the same season that he led the Patriots in receptions (72), yards (1,176), and touchdowns (11). While most of his parties happened during his career, he threw a major party the day before the Super Bowl in February 2020.
Rob Gronkowski threw a Super Bowl party after his first retirement from the NFL
The four-time Super Bowl champion retired following the 2018 season after nine seasons with the Patriots. But that didn't stop the partying for the former University of Arizona star. He threw the event in Miami, which hosted Super Bowl LIV in February 2020.
Rob Gronkowski spoke to Fox News about the event and its debut.
Gronkowski said:
"I may not be playing the game this year, but I will still be going to Miami and I'm going to be debuting my very own music festival and its Gronk Beach. I mean, you can't ask for any other situation that's better than that."
"Bring some wildness, some fun, to bring a music festival to Miami and not just on top of Miami, at the Super Bowl. It's really never been done like that before."
That year, the event was attended by Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Linda Holliday.
Rob Gronkowski returned to feature for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and play alongside Tom Brady in 2020 and 2021. He retired for good ahead of the 2022 season after 11 seasons in the NFL.
