Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey will be opting for a 'less common' tradition on their wedding day

The wedding preparations have begun for Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo. The NFL couple, who announced their engagement in April 2023, will get married soon. However, the wedding isn't going to be a typical one.

The couple is going to follow a less common tradition on their big day. Talking to PEOPLE, Olivia Cuplo explained they aren't going to do a first-look before their wedding day. Talking about the same, she said:

"I know for sure we're not going to do a first look, so he won’t see me until I'm walking down the aisle, I think that that's a little less common these days."

Olivia Cuplo is taking a different approach to her wedding despite being in the throes of preparations. Instead of worrying about everything, she is taking a laid-back approach and keeping it simple.

"I think anything can happen at any moment when you are on the day. And I'm just trying to prepare as much as possible and then let it lie. Whatever happens will happen. At least I know I prepared as much as I could, but I'm really taking a laid-back approach to all of this."

Even though Olivia Cuplo and fiancé Christian McCaffrey have hinted at a wedding-next-door, the exact date is yet to be revealed. But both of them are excited about the big event.

Olivia Cuplo recently turned 32 and kept the celebrations simple. Christian McCaffrey's fiancée hosted a candlelit dinner with family and shared a sneak peek of her birthday celebrations on her Instagram.

"This is 32! Thank you all for the love and birthday wishes. Cant believe im 32 already I’m feeling so grateful. Love you all!!!" Culpo wrote on her Instagram post.

For the occasion, Olivia Cuplo wore a white full-length dress. Her soon-to-be husband, Christian McCaffrey, went with a plain white T-shirt paired with black pants. In the celebrations were Olivia Culpo's brother Gus, her sisters Sophia and Aurora, Jackson McDonald, Christian McCaffrey, and their cute dog Oliver Sprinkles.

Hours after posting her birthday pictures, Olivia Culpo shared an Instagram reel about how she prepared the dinner table. In the caption, Cuplo explained how she loves hosting her family and friends.

"Hosting friends and family has always been a passion of mine - setting the tone by using different color schemes, flowers, candles, and more," Olivia wrote.

Talking to PEOPLE, the former Miss Universe also revealed how they'll be shifting their honeymoon to next year due to the NFL season being almost around the corner. The 49ers will be entering the 2024 season with a preseason game against the Saints on August 18.
