Olumuyiwa Anthony Fashanu was selected 11th overall by New York Jets in the 2024 NFL Draft. He played his college football for Penn State Nittany Lions and was the offensive tackle for the team. He started his college football career in 2020 and played four seasons for the Nittany Lions before declaring for the 2024 NFL draft. He is one of the best offensive tackles in the 2024 draft class and is coming off of his best college football season in 2023.

Fashanu started college football season in 2020 with Penn State but did not play the entire season. In 2021, Fashanu played in nine games, however, he only made his first career start in the 2022 Outback Bowl where Penn State ended up losing to the Arkansas Razorbacks. In the 2022 season, Fashanu became the starter at left tackle. His best season came in 2023, where Fashanu won multiple awards before declaring for the 2024 draft.

Fashanu has won multiple individual awards and some of them are 2023 College Football All-America Team, Rimington–Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2023, First-team All-Big Ten in 2023, and also was named to the Second-team All-Big Ten in 2022.

At the NFL Combine, Fashanu clocked his 40-yard dash in 5.11 seconds. Considering his tremendous height (6 feet 6 inches) and his weight (317 pounds), Fashanu is quite agile with his legs. He also finished his 10-yard split in 1.77, can jump as high as 32 inches, and had a 9’1” broad jump. Given his physical tools and athleticism, Fashanu had more than enough of what it takes to be a pass-protecting tackle in the NFL. However, there are some lingering concerns about his limited movement at the line of scrimmage in the run game.
