Packers-Cowboys weather report: What's in store for NFC Wild Card Game at AT&T Stadium?

Two of the NFL's most legendary teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Green Bay Packers will square off in an NFC wild-card game on Sunday to determine who advances to the divisional round.

It's unlikely that anyone predicted the Packers to make the playoffs before the season began. Instead, after the loss of Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, NFL fans and analysts widely expected this season to mark the start of a rebuilding project in Green Bay. However, Matt LaFleur's team has taken the No. 7 seed in the NFC and gone into the playoffs riding a three-game winning streak.

In the wild-card round, the Packers will take on the Cowboys, who finished the regular season by winning seven of their final nine games and capturing the NFC East.

With their victory over the Washington Commanders last week to close out the regular season, the Cowboys secured the No. 2 spot in the NFC ahead of the Detroit Lions.

It is anticipated that the Cowboys will face difficulty from a Packers squad that has defeated Dallas in nine of the previous ten meetings. They won't have to worry about Aaron Rodgers' threat this time, of course, but Jordan Love has also performed admirably in his first year as a starting quarterback.

What will the weather be like at AT&T Stadium this weekend?

Naturally, it is impossible to completely rule out the possibility of inclement weather during a January football playoff game. The long-term prognosis is not favorable for several of this week's NFL playoff matchups.

The Dallas Cowboys won't be too affected by the weather, though, as they will play within a dome.

According to the weather report, the game at AT&T Stadium will see a high temperature of about 38 degrees and a low temperature of about 22 degrees.

The game will begin at 4:30 p.m. ET, and according to Tripadvisor, the temperature is predicted to be approximately 27 degrees with steady winds. Additionally, there's a 40% probability of snowfall in the area on game day.

Fortunately for fans, given the stadium is dome-shaped, the weather should have little to no effect on the contest.

What time and channel is the Packers-Cowboys game on?

After finishing first in the NFC East with a 12-5 record, the Dallas Cowboys have had a successful regular season. On wild-card weekend at AT&T Stadium, they must defeat the Green Bay Packers to extend their postseason run.

On Sunday, Jan. 14, the game between the two storied NFL franchises will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The start time is set at 430 p.m. ET.

FOX will broadcast the matchup for NFL fans in the United States. From the commentary booth, play-by-play reporter Kevin Burkhardt and color analyst Greg Olsen will call the game. Tom Rinaldi and Erin Andrews will also provide updates from the sidelines.
