In Jordan Hicks, the Eagles' have a skilled general, who can make crucial plays at any point in the match. The Birds would desperately hope for him to stay healthy and play the entire length of the season. Nigel Bradham looked impressive last season, but at $7.6 million he seems too expensive. Mychal Kendricks, Corey Nelson and Paul Worrilow add significant depth to this position.

Fletcher Cox is a monster on the defensive end, but the Eagles' would surely miss the services of Tim Jernigan to pair him up this season. Dealing with a back injury, Jernigan may not take the field this year. Replacing him on the starters bench would be Haloti Ngata, who can be an effective backup at his position. Destiny Vaeao, Elijah Qualls and Winston Craig complete this position.
