The Pittsburgh Steelers are unbeaten to start the 2024 NFL season, and their next game will be against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Steelers have been impressive so far this year, especially on defense, and will be looking to keep up the good work in Week 3 against a fellow playoff hopeful.
Let's take a look at the Steelers' injury report ahead of their crunch upcoming matchup.
Pittsburgh Steelers injury report
According to the Steelers' official website, nine players are on the injury report. These players are quarterback Russell Wilson, wide receiver Roman Wilson, running back Najee Harris, guard Isaac Seumalo, tight end MyCole Pruitt, OLB T.J. Watt, offensive tackle Troy Fautanu, and defensive tackles Larry Ogunjobi and Cameron Heyward.

Most of these players are on the injury report due to precautionary measures. However, let's take a look at the players ruled out of the Chargers game, one of whom is all but certain to be out.
Russell Wilson's injury status
According to Yahoo Sports, Russell Wilson hasn't fully recovered from the calf issue that kept him out for the opening two weeks. Hence, the nine-time Pro Bowler is listed as questionable for the Chargers game.
Wilson was a limited participant in every Pittsburgh Steelers training session this week, meaning that he's on his way to recovery. However, Justin Fields is all set to record his third straight start as Steelers QB while Wilson watches from the sidelines.
Isaac Seumalo's injury status
According to CBS Sports, Pittsburgh Steelers guard Isaac Seumalo is officially out of the Steelers' Week 3 game. The offensive lineman has been unable to practice since injuring his pectoral in late August.
Seumalo did not practice all week, so there was no realistic chance of him starting against the Chargers. He hopes to make a return in the coming weeks but in the meantime, Spencer Anderson will start in his place for the third consecutive fixture.
MyCole Pruitt's injury status
According to CBS Sports, Pittsburgh Steelers tight end MyCole Pruitt has been ruled out of Week 3 due to a knee injury. Pruitt is typically a key member of the Steelers' multi-tight end system.
Due to his injury, expect Darnell Washington or Connor Heyward to step up alongside Pat Freiermuth in his absence against the Chargers.
