The Pittsburgh Steelers are the seventh oldest franchise in the NFL, the Franchise was founded in 1933, as Pittsburgh Pirates. In a game against the New York Giants, they made their NFL debut. During the 1943 season, they merged with the Philadelphia Eagles and were known as the Steagles. In 1947, the Steelers reached their first playoff game.

In Super Bowl XIV which was played at Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California they defeated the Los Angeles Rams.

In Super Bowl XL which was played at Fort Field in Detroit, Michigan they defeated the Seattle Seahawks. In Super Bowl XLIII which was played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida they defeated the Arizona Cardinals. The Steelers hold the record for most Super Bowl wins with 6 wins and they also played in 16 AFC championship games.
