While Lamar Jackson's squad was coming off the high of securing the AFC North against the Cleveland Browns, Russell Wilson and company were reeling from four straight losses that sank them to the sixth seed.

The game began with the Baltimore Ravens forcing a punt on the opening drive of the game - which they punished with a Rashod Bateman touchdown:
Both teams then traded punts on the next three drives, before Derrick Henry charged his way in for a touchdown:

The Steelers began the second half with a purpose, forcing a punt on the Ravens’ opening drive and punishing it with a long Russell Wilson touchdown to Van Jefferson:
However, Derrick Henry did not take long before responding with another touchdown, destroying the defense from 44 yards. Wilson then answered by scoring George Pickens - the first playoff touchdown of the third-year wideout’s career. That scoring frenzy ended with a Ravens punt with around two and a half minutes left in the third quarter, then both sides began the fourth quarter by exchanging punts.
Eventually the Steelers were the first to break through in that period, reaching the opposing 43. However, that drive culminated in a turnover on downs, allowing the Ravens to burn out the clock.
