Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love might be in line for a bumper new contract ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
According to Spotrac, Jordan Love is projected to sign a four-year, $200M extension deal with the Packers, with $150M practically guaranteed. This will come as a reward for Love's sensational first season as a starter in Green Bay, which saw him guide the Packers to a deep postseason run.
Could the Green Bay Packers make Jordan Love a top 5 highest-paid QB?
The Green Bay Packers are one of the best teams in the NFC and are known for developing elite quarterback talents. The Packers have enjoyed almost three decades of elite quarterback play from Brett Farve and Aaron Rodgers, and now with their young star Jordan Love.

Jordan Love put up a Pro Bowl-caliber showing in his first year as a starting quarterback, amassing 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. The Utah State product was instrumental in the Packers reaching the divisional round of the NFC, where they narrowly lost to the San Francisco 49ers.
However, if Spotrac's projection is anything to go by, it's unlikely that the Packers will make Love a top-five highest-paid quarterback in the National Football League. His projected 4-year, $200M extension will put him on the outskirts of the highest-paid players at his position.
Love is unlikely to sign a top-five contract at his position because he still lacks experience as a starter. He has only been a starter for one season, and while he was splendid, the sample size is too small.
However, if Love were to sign a short-term contract and showcase his 2023 form for one or two more seasons, we can see the Packers rewarding him with a historic deal.
