The Los Angeles Chargers are back in the playoffs. After missing out in 2023, a head coach change and a new culture have taken the AFC West team back to the postseason, starting their run on Saturday against the Houston Texans in the Wild Card Round.
One of the key players who would make a huge difference in this game is Quentin Johnston. The wide receiver had a great performance on Sunday, with 13 catches and 186 receiving yards in the Chargers' win over the Las Vegas Raiders, which netted them the 5th seed in the playoffs.
However, for Los Angeles, a problem might arise with the wide receiver, who has been listed as questionable for the game against the Texans. Fresh from perhaps the best performance of his career, Johnston would represent a huge blow for his team if he's not able to feature on Saturday.

During Tuesday's practice, he had limited participation due to a thigh problem. On Wednesday, his situation worsened, and he did not appear on the field, before returning on Thursday with limited participation once again. It could be a situation where he's pushing to be in his best condition on Saturday, even if it costs a few hours of practice.
Quentin Johnson season: stats for the Los Angeles Chargers receiver in 2024
After a torrid rookie season, the first-round pick has turned his career around. He finished the regular season with 711 yards and eight touchdowns, firmly establishing his condition as WR2 for the team. Rookie Ladd McConkey also had a great year, with over 1,000 receiving yards in his first year.
Johnston had just 431 yards and two touchdowns during the 2023 season. In a year when Los Angeles struggled on both sides of the ball, seeing their first-round pick not being a difference-maker made their season even worse. General manager Tom Telesco and head coach Brandon Staley did not survive the 5-12 year.
But a change of culture, coaching staff and vibes around the Chargers turned into a successful bounce-back year for Johnston. Let's see if he's healthy enough to play on Saturday.
