He began his professional journey after being selected as the 98th overall pick in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft by the Broncos. Meinerz represented the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at the collegiate level, playing for the Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks from 2017 to 2020. Hailing from Wisconsin, Meinerz attended Hartford Union High School, where he showcased his versatility as an athlete by participating in football, track and field, and wrestling.
