Randy Moss is an American former professional football player and is considered to be one of greatest players of all time. He played the position of wide receiver. Moss was a multi-sport athlete who was able to play football, basketball, baseball and run track. At Riverside High School, Moss was honored with the Harrison H Kennedy Award and was named top 50 players of all time.

The turning point came in his sophomore season where he truly developed as a great wide receiver. Over the years, Moss amassed many records and accolades. Some of these include being named All-American twice, winning the Fred Biletnikoff Award, recording the most touchdowns in a single season, recording most consecutive games with a touchdown reception and recording most touchdown receptions caught by a freshman in a single season.

Skipping his junior and senior years of college, Moss declared for the NFL draft. Moss surprised scouts in his individual workout with his amazing physical ability. Over his 14 seasons in the NFL, Randy Moss came to be recognized as the greatest wide receiver to have ever played the sport. He is a 6 time Pro Bowl player and has four First-Team All-Pro selections. Aside from these, he was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year when he entered the league. He played in two Super Bowl games, is a member of the NFL 2000s All-Decade Team, NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time team and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018. He also accumulated numerous NFL records over the duration of his NFL career.

He played with the Vikings for 7 years before being traded to the Oakland Raiders. Moss’ time at Oakland was not one that proved to be a highlight of his career considering the Raiders' poor play and Moss’ injuries.

In 2007, Moss was traded to the New England Patriots where he continued his professional journey till 2010. Joining Tom Brady proved to be the most promising move for Moss as he had a breakout season in 2007 receiving 1,493 yards and setting an NFL record with 23 touchdowns. Moss had three highly successful seasons with the Patriots and started to thrive in an organization that had a winning culture.

Moss was traded to the Vikings for a second stint in 2010. While many expected Moss to return and contribute to the team at a high level, he was waived for passing negative comments about some of the coaching staff. He finished the 2010 season by being traded to the Tennessee Titans.

Moss took a one year break from professional football from 2010 to 2011 due to what he thought was going to be his retirement. He returned to the NFL in 2012 as a part of the San Francisco 49ers.
