One of the most precarious employment in the world is coaching in the world of professional athletics. Every season, head coaches are dismissed before the conclusion of their agreements for a number of different reasons, most notably because of how their teams performed under them.
We list the five oldest NFL coaches in 2023 in this article. Many of the coaches on this list are among the best in NFL history and have had lengthy careers; they helped develop many parts of the game as it is played today.
Here is a list of those senior managers, including two who have reached the age of 70.

#5 - John Harbaugh - Baltimore Ravens, 60 years old

Only two of John Harbaugh's 1.5-decade tenure with the Baltimore Ravens have resulted in losing seasons. He has a career record of 149-95 in the regular season, 11-9 in the playoffs, and one Super Bowl victory, which he earned by defeating his brother, Jim Harbaugh and the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII in February 2013 by a score of 34-31.
Since Harbaugh took over as the Ravens' head coach, he has won the fourth-most games in the league.
#4 - Ron Rivera - Washington Commanders, 61 years old
One of the five NFL coaches who are 60 or older in 2023 is Ron Rivera.
In his three years with the organization, Rivera has failed to guide the Washington Commanders to a winning campaign, and it has been eight years since he last guided a team to a postseason victory. He guided the Carolina Panthers to a 15-1 record in 2015 and a trip to the Super Bowl, where they fell to the Denver Broncos 24-10.
#3 - Andy Reid - Kansas City Chiefs, 65 years old
Andy Reid coached the Philadelphia Eagles for 14 seasons, winning more games than any other coach in the team's history. He was hired as the Kansas City Chiefs' head coach in 2013 and has guided the group to a winning record for ten consecutive seasons.
After leading the Chiefs to their second Super Bowl victory in four years and building on his successful tenure in Philadelphia, Andy Reid has earned a special place in football history. The 65-year-old head coach could walk away from the NFL today with a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame already secured.
#2 - Bill Belichick - New England Patriots, 71 years old
In 2023, Bill Belichick, an NFL coach who has experienced a remarkably long career, is in his 48th season. The 71-year-old veteran has led the New England Patriots as their head coach for 23 years, and his identity has come to be associated with the group.
Belichick has coached New England to an NFL-leading six Super Bowl victories. He is regarded as one of the finest coaches in NFL history because of his outstanding managerial track record.
#1 - Pete Carroll - Seattle Seahawks, 72 years old
Pete Carroll has achieved a lot throughout his illustrious NFL career, but the Seattle Seahawks' tremendous success is what has defined his reputation in the game.
Carroll has guided the Seahawks to nine straight winning campaigns and two Super Bowl appearances during his tenure with the team. In Super Bowl 48, he guided Seattle to a convincing 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos to claim the title.
