Apostolopoulos, a Harvard University graduate, is the founder of Six Ventures Inc., a private equity venture fund. He was recently rumored to be interested in buying the Charlotte Hornets from Michael Jordan, but with $5.5 billion to spend, he may jus as well do both.
#2 - Harris Rales Group - Net worth: $11.8bn
The Harris Rales Group are one of the favorites to take over as Commanders owners, as they've already launched an official bid.
The group is made up primarily of Josh Harris, owner of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Michelle Rales, the billionaire owner of Danaher Corporation, DC’s largest company.
Harris' $6.2 billion net worth, along with Rales' $5.6 billion, would put them in a strong position to make a serious bid to become new joint owners.
#1 - Jeff Bezos - Net worth: $120.8bn
By far and away, the richest man linked to the Commanders' ownership post is Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Bezos recently stepped back from his duties at Amazon and has a healthy net worth of $120.8 billion. This makes him the third richest man on the planet, behind only Bernard Arnault and Elon Musk.
Bezos wouldn't need any help getting the financial backing, and if he were to take over, there would be plenty of publicity to go with it, both good and bad.
