Mahomes was the 10th pick of 2017 Draft and was backup quarterback last year behind Alex Smith. When the Chiefs trade Smith to the Washington Redskins, Mahomes knew he it was his turn to be the guy.
So far this year he has 13 touchdowns with no interceptions. It helps to have good targets to throw to like Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill.
Now the defense isn't as strong as last year, but outscoring the other teams can get the Chiefs more wins.
