Quarterback Bart Starr and head coach Vince Lombardi led the Green Bay Packers to back-to-back wins in the first two Super Bowls in NFL history. They also won five NFL championships as a duo, with their dynasty beginning before the NFL-AFL merger. Had the merger occurred earlier, there is a good chance that they would have won even more Super Bowls than they did.
#2 - Joe Montana and Bill Walsh, San Francisco 49ers
Star quarterback Joe Montana won four Super Bowls for the San Francisco 49ers. Bill Walsh was the head coach for three of those victories. They never once lost a Super Bowl that they reached together. The duo dominated their era of football and consistently posted winning seasons. They are credited with revolutionizing the passing game in the NFL with the famed "West Coast" offense.
#1 - Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, New England Patriots
No duo in NFL history is more dominant than Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Their dynasty lasted two decades in which they appeared in the Super Bowl in nearly half of all their seasons together. The pair appeared in nine total Super Bowls and won six of them. Tom Brady has since won a seventh Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As both him and Belichick are still active in the NFL today, each searching for more rings.
