One of the two players on the Baltimore Ravens injury report prior to the 2024 season opener is running back Rasheen Ali. The rookie running back was only able to take part in a limited amount of practice on Monday and Tuesday due to a neck ailment.

Ali is expected to compete for a depth spot this season, behind Derrick Henry and Justice Hill in the Ravens' backfield. Whether the explosive RB is available for Thursday's season-opening game against the Kansas City Chiefs is something to watch for fantasy football managers.

Should fantasy managers be worried about the Ravens' RB?

Rasheen Ali appears to still be healing from a stinger he suffered in the Baltimore Ravens' opening preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ali has avoided a concussion, which is a positive news for fantasy managers who own him. He should have a decent chance of making his NFL regular-season debut on Thursday night in Kansas City.

Rasheen Ali's injury update

Baltimore Ravens' rookie RB Rasheen Ali and the rest of the squad are getting ready for the first game of the regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs. The 23-year-old running back's path to the Week 1 match hasn't been easy though.

Ali, who was selected as the 165th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, was only able to play in the first preseason game because of an injury he suffered.

After enduring a knock in the first preseason game against the Eagles, he has successfully completed the concussion protocol. Despite this development, he is still recovering from the neck injury, thus his practice participation is still limited.

Ali was only a limited participant in Tuesday's practice, so it's still unclear if he'll play in the season opener. He will now have one more opportunity to participate more in practice before the Ravens will have to designate him as injured for Thursday's match.

The Ravens coaching staff will keep a careful eye on Ali's progress on Wednesday before determining whether to list him as injured for the Chiefs game.

Ali excelled while playing football in college for Marshall. His 2,831 rushing yards and 39 rushing touchdowns during his college career, along with his 565 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns, demonstrate his adaptability. They also show his capacity to have an impact in all areas of the game.
