The Baltimore Ravens are a perennial playoff contender as long as Lamar Jackson is healthy, but is that good enough?

Certainly not, and we are sure the 2019 unanimous league MVP's patience is being tested. If the Ravens want to take the next step, the most reasonable step is to prioritize free agency.

As such, we will showcase three free-agent signings that would make the Baltimore Ravens stronger contenders for the postseason. Kindly note we will be going from least pressing to most important. So without further ado, let's put on our GM hats and fix the Ravens.

The Top Three 2023 Free Agent Targets for the Baltimore Ravens

Here are three free agents that could make all the difference come the 2023 NFL season.

#3 Jakobi Meyers, Wide Receiver

Lamar Jackson has needed a top-notch wide receiver for over a decade, but must still be equipped by the Baltimore Ravens' head office. This could change in a few weeks, as Jakobi Meyers is available in the 2023 free agency.

Meyers posted a career-best 866 yards with 83 receptions in 2021. This past season, he recorded an 804-yard, 67-catch campaign with six touchdown catches. Had he not missed three games, Meyers would have had a career-best season and possibly exceeded the 1,000-yard receiving mark. His 57.4 receiving yards per game were his highest single-season mark.

He was an elite player for the New England Patriots, and there's no reason why he can't replicate that form by catching passes from Jackson. He could be a dynamic threat in the team's offense, and his addition would make Jackson a happy trooper.

Let's see if the Baltimore front office would do the needful.

#2 JuJu Smith-Schuster, Wide Receiver

Keeping up with the theme of correcting the pressing need at wide receiver, we have a newly minted Super Bowl champion, JuJu Smith-Schuster. Now that JuJu has won a Super Bowl, he could seek a befitting contract for his talents and could prove to be an inspired addition to the Ravens. How Jackson connects with Smith-Schuster remains to be seen.

The former Pittsburgh Steeler caught 78 passes for 933 receiving yards and three TDs. He more closely resembled the earlier versions of himself after a couple of off-putting seasons on his way out of Pittsburgh. An upgrade at quarterback and overall offensive system certainly played a role in that.

Smith-Schuster could form a fearsome offensive corp like Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman. This tandem could be helpful in him taking the Baltimore Ravens to the next level. Even though JuJu rejected the team's advances last season, he could accept and build something special in Baltimore moving forward.

#1 Rock Ya-Sin, Cornerback

The Baltimore Ravens need a top-notch wide receiver but also have pressing needs in other parts of the field. One of those positions is cornerback, and they could find their man in Rock Ya-Sin.

Ya-Sin is a fast, versatile, and stellar defensive player who has carved out a nice niche in the National Football League. Last season he allowed 42 receptions on 69 targets and only one touchdown catch. He recorded seven pass defenses and had an 82.6 passer rating when targeted, the highest mark of his NFL career.

He should add some value to Baltimore's defense, shoring up an already stellar unit and giving them some depth for a deep playoff run. The four-year veteran could be looking at a one-year "prove it" type of deal on the market. This sort of deal will be a perfect starting point, as he has an extensive injury record that the Ravens must monitor.
