Reggie Bush is a former professional American footballer who played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). Bush's professional career started in the year 2006 when he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints with the 2nd overall pick of the NFL draft 2006.

He made his NFL debut in a game against the Cleveland Browns, and in the following game, he recorded 141 total yards as the Saints won 19-14. He scored his first rushing touchdown in a game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Bush ran for 52 yards on twelve carries and scored a touchdown as New Orleans won 27–24. In the subsequent season, he continued to play brilliantly and in the NFC Championship game against the Minnesota Vikings, he helped the Saints win their first NFC Championship game and make their first Super Bowl appearance. Reggie Bush won his first Super Bowl in 2009 as the Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts.

In the 2011 season, the Saints traded Bush to the Miami Dolphins and in a victory game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Bush scored his first rushing touchdown since 2009. In a 30-23 victory game against the Buffalo Bills, he rushed for a carer high 203 yards and recorded a touchdown. In the 2013 season, he signed a deal of 4 years worth $16 million with the Detroit Lions and in a game against the Minnesota Vikings he made his team debut in the following game, he recorded 191 yards and a receiving touchdown and was ranked at 85th by his team members in the list of Top Players of NFL 2014.

In 2015 Bush signed a deal of one year worth $2.5 million with the San Francisco 49ers and in the opening game of the 2015 season against the Minnesota Vikings Bush injured his leg. In 2016 he signed a deal of one year with the Buffalo Bills. In 2017 Bush retired from the NFL and in 2019 Bush was inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame.

Before his journey in the NFL began Bush played college football at the University of South Carolina for the Trojans from 2003 to 2005. After Bush was drafted he signed a multi-year endorsement with Adidas to promote football and training clothes. The Saints fans were excited by the selection of Bush and he also signed contracts with Pepsi, General Motors, Adidas, Pizza Hut, and the Subway restaurant chain.

Bush has dated WWE Diva Eve Torres as well as Kim Kardashian for a while. In 2011 he married Armenian dancer Lilit Avagyan with whom he has three children.
