Rhamondre Stevenson has been a solid fantasy football contributor in each of his three seasons with the New England Patriots. While he regressed a bit last year, he appears to be in a good spot for a bounceback season. Here's everything to know about his fantasy football outlook with the 2024 NFL season quickly approaching.

Rhamondre Stevenson has spent three seasons with the New England Patriots and has been a solid fantasy football running back in all three of them. While he has been a bit inconsistent, he has finished among the top 40 players in his position in all three of his fantasy football seasons. This includes two seasons that he missed five games in each of them due to injuries.

Stevenson's stats in his most recent campaign included 619 rushing yards, 238 receiving yards and four total touchdowns in 12 games. He surely regressed from his breakout season in the year before when he posted 1,040 rushing yards, 421 receiving yards and six total touchdowns in 17 games. Some of this was due to injury, but also because he was splitting the backfield workload with Ezekiel Elliot.

With Elliot no longer on the Patriots' roster, Stevenson is a prime candidate for a bounceback year, especially if he can remain healthy this season. He is expected to receive a much larger workload this year with the team transitioning to rookie quarterback Drake Maye. They may rely on him to handle as many carries as possible, while his proven receiving skills could be a reliable safety valve for Maye while he develops his game.

Is Rhamondre Stevenson a good pick in Fantasy Football this year?

Rhamondre Stevenson entered last season as one of the most desirable running backs to own in fantasy football. He was coming off of a career-best RB11 finish in the year before, making him an ideal target in the first few rounds of fantasy drafts. He ended up turning in a disappointing RB36 finish in season-long scoring, ranking well below his expectations.

Following his down year, Stevenson may hold even more value this season than he did last year. His fantasy stock has fallen, so he should be available in later rounds than he was last year. Instead of being targeted as a low-end RB1 or high-end RB2, his 2024 fantasy football value currently has him sitting in the low-end RB2 range.

This creates an opportunity to buy low on an extremely talented running back with a situation that offers plenty of upside. He doesn't have the same competition for carries that he did with Elliot in the mix like last season, which could lead to a larger workload. He also recorded 69 receptions two seasons ago, so he has proven to be a weapon as a receiver out of the backfield.

Rookie quarterbacks often look for check downs while they become more comfortable with their offensive system, which could be a major factor in Stevenson's fantasy outlook. The fact that they have one of the weakest groups of wide receivers in the NFL further supports this concept.

Rhamondre Stevenson ADP: Where should you draft Patriots RB this year?

According to Sportskeeda's Who Should I Draft tool, Rhamondre Stevenson has a similar fantasy football value as David Montgomery and Najee Harris this season. A strong case can be made that Stevenson has much more upside than both of them. He is expected to serve as the featured running back for the Patriots, while the other relevant options split the backfield workload with another player.

His current ADP has Stevenson ranked as the 58th overall player and 19th running back for 2024 fantasy football drafts. This means that he can be targeted around the fifth round of fantasy drafts this year as a potential RB2 on most rosters. If he can get back to his 2022 production, he would be an absolute steal at this spot.
